The Victor Elementary School District’s most current elementary school, Galileo Academy, is a “repeat” project based on a prototype indoor school that was developed for the Menifee Union School District. This 53,412 square foot campus is designed to accommodate up to 700 students and offers typical elementary features including: 24 standard teaching spaces, 3 kindergarten rooms, computer lab, library, MPR with warming kitchen, administrative and support spaces. The project was originally approved by DSA in June 2007 and was resubmitted for approval with recent Title 24 code updates incorporated. CPM was able to develop up to $2.3 Million in Value Engineering (VE) strategies to help offset cost escalation increases from the prior 2007 construction budget (without a reduction in overall building square footage). Ultimately, the District accepted $1.1 million in VE strategies and increased the project budget to fund completion of the school.
Apple Valley High School
